As the core equipment for industrial fluid transportation, centrifugal pumps are widely used in chemical, petroleum, water treatment and other fields. Correct installation is the key to ensure its efficient operation. This article will introduce the installation steps and precautions of centrifugal pumps in detail to help users successfully complete equipment deployment.

Preparation before installation

Before installing the centrifugal pump, you need to ensure that the basic conditions meet the requirements. First, check whether the pump body and accessories are intact, and check whether the model matches the design parameters. Secondly, the installation location should be flat and stable, and sufficient maintenance space should be reserved. If it is a large pump group, it is necessary to cast a concrete foundation in advance and reserve anchor bolt holes. In addition, it is necessary to confirm that the power supply voltage matches the motor power and equip the necessary protective devices.

Detailed explanation of installation steps

Foundation fixing: Place the pump body on the pre-cast foundation and fix it with anchor bolts. When tightening the bolts, it is necessary to operate symmetrically to avoid uneven force causing deformation of the pump body.

Pipeline connection: The inlet and outlet pipes should be supported independently to avoid applying weight directly to the pump body. When connecting, ensure that the flange surfaces are parallel and the sealing gaskets are intact to prevent leakage. For high temperature or corrosive media, it is recommended to use metal spiral wound gaskets.
Motor alignment: Adjust the concentricity of the motor and the pump shaft, and the deviation should be controlled within 0.05 mm. A dial indicator can be used to assist in calibration to avoid vibration or bearing wear during operation.
Electrical wiring: Connect the power supply according to the requirements of the motor nameplate to ensure reliable grounding. After the wiring is completed, the motor direction needs to be tested. If the direction is wrong, the cable phase sequence needs to be changed.
Debugging and precautions

After the installation is completed, a no-load test run is required. Manually turn the car first, and then power on and start after confirming that there is no obstruction. Observe whether the vibration, noise and pressure gauge reading of the pump body are normal. If there is an abnormality, stop the machine immediately for inspection. In daily use, it is necessary to regularly check the wear of the seals and replenish lubricating oil in time.

Correct installation can not only extend the service life of the centrifugal pump, but also significantly improve the operating efficiency. Following the above process can ensure the safe and stable operation of the equipment and provide reliable protection for production.
