Gear Reduction Motor
A gear reduction motor, also known as a gear motor or gearmotor, is a compact, power-efficient device that integrates an electric motor with a gear reducer (gearbox). The primary purpose of a gear reduction motor is to reduce the motor’s output speed while simultaneously increasing the torque output. This is achieved through the use of gears within the gear reducer, which alter the gear ratio between the motor’s shaft and the output shaft.
The gear reduction ratio determines the relationship between the input speed (motor speed) and the output speed of the gearmotor.
