API 610 puts forward stricter requirements on vibration control, sealing system and material tolerance of centrifugal pumps, especially for high pressure, high temperature and flammable and explosive environments. In contrast, the European market adopts EN 733 standard more, which focuses on the structural design and dimensional specifications of centrifugal pumps to ensure the interchangeability of equipment between different manufacturers.

In addition to international standards, countries also formulate regional specifications according to their own needs. For example, China's GB/T 5656 standard refers to the ISO system, and at the same time, combined with the characteristics of domestic working conditions, refines the energy efficiency level and environmental protection requirements of centrifugal pumps. Japan's JIS B 8314 standard emphasizes miniaturization and low noise design, which is suitable for civil and light industrial fields.

For foreign trade companies, it is crucial to be familiar with the implementation standards of the target market. Buyers need to clarify whether the equipment complies with local regulations, while manufacturers need to pass certification (such as CE, UL or API Monogram) to enhance market competitiveness. In the future, with the global attention to energy efficiency and sustainable development, centrifugal pump standards will further evolve towards intelligence and low carbonization. Grasping these dynamics will help companies seize the initiative in international trade.
